OUR ROOTS
Econoprint started back in 1976, but not in the way most businesses do. My grandfather, a traveling musician, decided to open a print shop in Niagara Falls. The only problem? He wasn’t a businessman. Running a company was a completely different world for him, and within two years, it was going under.
That could have been the end of it, but our father saw an opportunity. He bought the business for one dollar from our grandfather, moved it to St. Catharines, and got to work. He wasn’t a businessman either—he was also a traveling musician—but what he did have was an incredible work ethic and a willingness to learn. He put in the hours, figured things out, and built the business from the ground up.
Over the years, he grew Econoprint by acquiring competitors, expanding services, and turning it into a one-stop shop for printing. He became the President of the National Quick Print Association, traveled all over North America, and made a real name for himself in the industry. He built something solid, something that lasted.
Now, my brother James and I are carrying that legacy forward. The industry has changed a lot, so we’ve expanded beyond just print, signs and graphic design—now we do branding, websites, and social media too. Our goal is the same as our fathers’s: to make life easier for our customers by handling everything in one place.
Econoprint has been around for over 50 years, and it’s still growing. It’s hard work, resilience, and always evolving to stay ahead, while keeping the founding principle of making our clients lives as easy as we can by making a one stop shop.

So when people ask how long we've been doing this for we tell them...
