Digital Checklist for Sending Files
Files are prepared in Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Corel, or Pagemaker.
Images are at least standard resolution (300dpi for colour and greyscale; 1200dpi for line art) and saved in CMYK mode. Preferred file types are TIFF and EPS.
Save files whenever possible as PDF’s (Portable Document Format). Send us your file as a PDF. See more….
If fonts are PostScript, standard Post Script font styles are used instead of font styles in the Quark character palette (ie. a bolded Helvetica should use the font called Helvetica Bold).
For images or colours which run to page edge, at least 1/8” bleed is supplied.
All images and fonts are digitally supplied, or font names are supplied on hard copy (such as a laser proof).
If possible, hard copy samples or proofs are supplied for reference, with any changes noted.
